Chalup Abstract: In 2016 the NUbots team will represent The University of Newcastle, Australia, in the RoboCup Kidsize Humanoid League. The NUbots have participated in RoboCup since 2002. They won the title in the RoboCup Four Legged League in 2006 and as part of the NUManoids team they won the title in the Standard Platform League in 2008. The team's main research addresses interdisciplinary applications of machine learning, software engineering and computer vision. This paper summarises the history of the NUbot team and describes the roles and research interests its team members. The paper also gives an overview of the NUbots' software system and the NUbots' main platform, the Darwin-OP with minor modifications. |
