In 2017 they represent The University of Newcastle, Australia, in the RoboCup Kidsize Humanoid League. The NUbots have participated in RoboCup since 2002. They won the title in the RoboCup Four Legged League in 2006 and as part of the NUManoids team they won the title in the Standard Platform League in 2008. The NUbots' research addresses applications of machine learning, software engineering and computer vision. This paper summarizes the history of the NUbots' team and describes the roles and research interests of its members. The paper also gives an overview of the NUbots' software system and robot platforms. |
